I was out on an overseas business trip for the month of October 2009 and on my return shot out an email requesting an update on the Olds. The body was prepped and ready for painting. Obviously, I was thrilled to hear this. However, disaster strikes later on regarding the paint and thus this will become a major delay on the project.
In addition to the paint prep, the engine was rebuilt and waiting for mounting onto the frame. After looking at the engine, I thought it had too much blink (such as the all chrome air filter housing) and I did not like to gold braces used to hold the alternator. Since I was going to do a W-30 with Outside Air Induction (OAI), I wanted that to be closer to the original. Later down the road, I would make those suggestions.
